A comprehensive treatment program that uses gardening and substance abuse treatment to give participants a Fresh Start on life.
Lincoln County, Logan County, and Mingo County
Fresh Start is all about community.
The hub of the Fresh Start Program is agricultural and artisan programming. Fresh Start will use this programming to reconnect clients to the community using the resources of the region and instill in them the traditional West Virginia values of pride and work ethic.
Phases of Fresh Start:
Phase 1: Clients will receive intensive group and individual therapy with the qualified treatment professionals of the SRDRC.
Phase 2: Clients will work closely with the Fresh Start staff to build a foundation for a life of recovery using mentoring and increasing community connectedness.
Phase 3: Clients will apply the skills learned to their life. Phase Three clients will enroll in college or vocational courses, will serve as team leaders for the Fresh Start trade programs, and will continue to work closely with this case manager, mentor, and therapist to development the skills needed for recovery.
