Featured Artist – Miranda Cline

This beautiful triptych painting was crafted by artist Miranda Cline, a client from the Mingo County Day Report Center. She shares her wonderful story and explanation of her journey through Recovery.

I was ask to paint what my addiction looked like to me and my recovery now. Hell is the best way to describe addiction to me. Even tho I love fishing I chose it also for my recovery because life is like fishing.. when U fish U never know what ur gonna catch. We never know what life will throw our way.. I painted the water muddy because even tho I’m in recovery life is not perfect.. we still have to fight. There will still be rain storms and muddy water. When U catch a big catfish it fights u all the way to the sand bar.. this life I live is so worth fighting for. I chose a rainbow sky because God keeps his promises.. This is by far my most favorite thing I have painted. I put my whole heart into this.. it’s a short story of the last 20 years of my life. I used words to describe how I feel about the painting. I hope this blesses someone. Stay strong an never give up..
